03:21 GMT         Day 11 of 90, Season 69

90 days later

Written by Quick step minded at 19:11 29/10-2015

Day 54 of season 33. The day that we started racing again after a break that lasted a couple of seasons. And now, nearly 90 days later, we find ourselves at nr. 25 in the OCM-ranking, ahead of teams such as sprint4live, amazing.

Money can't buy happiness they say. Newsflash: they are wrong. Money can buy good riders, good riders can bring results, and results bring happiness. I've spent about 2 million on assembling a team of 22 riders (and also spent about 200k on equipment/staff), which now leaves the team with about 1.5 mil left, not bad.

This season hasn't even been going all that well, there have been loads of races in which we missed out on a top-9 spot. Highlights on the other hand have been respectively finishing 2nd, 3rd and 8th in the GC's of Giro di Montelbano, Cymru Taith & Essex Tour, and 2 BA-wins of the flying Scotsman, Shawn Hattrup.

But let's look at the future now. From now on we are actually gonna have to defend points, which is a different mindset from before, we have bacisally been on a freeroll until now. However, the team wants to achieve something which we haven't done so far in all our seasons in OCM: get into the top-10. We need to completely overhaul and rejuvenate our team in order to do that though, so patience it the virtue we're looking for. But when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

In the meantime, let's see if my oldies can do any damage in top-division.

This shows the calibre of your management and the correctness of my moaning that if such a manager has this amount of money it will be a problem :)

Manisaspor at 21:13 4/11-2015
You actually did a very good job with the money. I expected you to win more tours but tours are the capricious ladies. I think I have sold you a whole team :) I knew Trujillo would get very good results in a tour.

Quick step minded at 18:14 3/11-2015
Depends on who comes on the market, I'm too lazy to mail 100 teams in the hope of making 1 private deal. (which you then have to announce so other teams can overbid you) I think I will struggle with my current old team though.

johny2 at 17:03 3/11-2015
Winning 1 tour and an excellent buying and selling strategy you id very well.
Are you going to buy some real OCM stars or just continue with 22 good rider strategy?
